No, this is false. Rand and his wife did a recent interview saying they haven't spoken to the guy in 10 years. They never had a dispute over leaves like the media reported, this probably came from his defense lawyer.

This is not true. There was no dispute, why don't you listen to Rand and his wife? They are the ones to know, not the attackers lawyer and the media. The guy was a sicko who attacked Rand from behind while he was doing yard work, he was also a democrat so take that as you will.

That is nonsense. There were a number of neighbors who reported on the bad blood between the neighbors.

The only reports of a political motive are from extreme right wing sources. All other reports are the dispute was over a brush pile.

Paul was not knocked out at all. He was tackled which is what did all the damage...broken ribs. He threw the guy off and they had words.

When you have proof the attack was politically motivated, get back to me. Until then, #threadfail

regardless of the motive, the neighbor's original sentence was deemed unreasonably low by a federal appeals court.

WASHINGTON - A federal appeals court ordered a resentencing of the neighbor who assaulted and seriously injured Sen. Rand Paul in 2017, saying that 30 days in jail and a $10,000 fine were inexplicably below the sentencing guidelines for such a crime.

The three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit noted that the guidelines call for 21 to 27 months for the federal crime of assaulting a member of Congress and that Paul's injuries, including six broken ribs, were serious. Prosecutors had asked for a 21-month sentence.

Just a few weeks ago, Rand also had a part of his lung removed due to this physical assault by the neighbor. He was seriously injured.

Rand Paul lived in gated community but acted like he lived out in the country, brush piles, etc.

A neighbor knocked him down and Rand Paul has been whining about it ever since.

Yeah, what's he complaining about? Having to give up part of one lung is nothing to whine about.

A neighbor "knocked him down" and broke 6 ribs.....You're cool with that...seems about right for those that are cool with violence.....That seems to be the "leftist way" here lately.....

Even CNN reported about ribs broken...

Washington (CNN)Sen. Rand Paul shared an update on his medical status Wednesday, tweeting that he has six broken ribs following an incident last week where a neighbor allegedly assaulted the Kentucky Republican at his home in Bowling Green.

Oh, and according to CNN it was grass clippings and leaves....

Quote:
According to the neighbor, Paul and Rene Boucher, who was charged with attacking Paul, share a property line in a gated community and have a long-running dispute over grass clippings and leaves blown onto each others' lawns.

I'm sure you and your leftist brothern, would rather rand been shot and killed.........

So according to you, grass and leaves....are worth putting someone in surgery....

What on earth are you talking about? It was a very ugly attack and should have resulted in a significant conviction. It should not however have been in the Federal Courts but in the local courts where such an assault and battery should be tried. Yes of course it was legal but prosecutorial judgement should have left it to the local courts.

And the immediate complaint by the assailant was over a pile of brush on the Senator's property but near the border.

And Rand is more Libertarian than Republican so I would expect he gets much less garbage from the left than most Republicans.
