I disliked the job his team did, but VP Biden was a loyal BO soldier-and it is costing him now, as it should.

However, BO never returned the loyalty.

Castro's comments towards Biden at the debate called for BO to publicly thrash Castro
. That would include calling out Castro as undeserving of any office period.

I have little doubt if you swapped out LBJ for BO (time warp needed), LBJ would already have donors lining up behind Castro's next primary group, and Castro would be through forever in politics.

Dems got no coattails from BO in 2016, as his work on their behalf was tepid at best. Same for JB now.

If Biden wins the nomination I expect Obama will step up to the plate.

That would be the gutless time to act. I think you are correct.

I think more people believe that if Obama steps in NOW he is out of line.

I suspect if Biden gets the nomination Obama will make it right.

Obama and Biden are adults. Biden knows what Obama thinks and that's all that matters -- this silly game of Obama going after Castro is kind of a childish game.

Castro was chided by his party, and by the fact his actions did little to boost his ranking. His attacks on Biden were not well accepted...that was enough.

We are so use to fragile egos, name calling and spatting like middle school girls that we forget how real life works.

Disagree. I am not saying he should back JB, but to denounce Castro publicly is called for.

His ranking should have tanked to BDB's level btw.

Doesn't have to.

Castro suffered the next day and hasn't recovered.

I don't want Obama fighting Biden's battles.......Biden's a big boy -- he can take it and should be able to if he wants the job of the President of the USA.

Obama was a terrible party builder. It's a huge blind spot for him, as it has already resulted in some rollback of his legacy, with more to come.

I think Obama never cared about party building because 1) he's a bad administrator and party building requires operational skills, and 2) he finds party politics distasteful and would prefer to be a one-off philosopher king.

I also think BO truly did not care about anyone besides himself.

There was never loyalty shown anywhere.
