According to a corporation that runs a financial news and opinion company, 74% of the “best cities in America” are in red states that voted for the GOP in 2016. As Sen. Ted Cruz noted, “74% of the ‘best cities in America’ on USA Today list are in red states that voted GOP in 2016. 2 of top 10 are in TX, including #1 (within my hometown of Houston). It’s almost like low taxes, low regs & lots of jobs are good for raising strong families!”
Here's the article

And how many of those cities themselves voted red?

So I actually went out to find the article. No, Houston was not #1, West University Place was. In fact the vast majority of these "cities" had less than 20k people. The largest city listed was Bismarck, ND.

Pat yourself on the back if you'd like. Why aren't you bragging that Beverly Hills, CA is #2? I live one block from one of the top 10 "cities".

Yeah, these aren't "cities." Most of them are towns or, at best, small cities.

A sample:

Ladue, Missouri
Hanover, New Hampshire
Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin
Le Mars, Iowa
West Fargo, North Dakota
Paradise Valley, Arizona
Winnetka, Illinois
Moorhead, Minnesota

Give me a break. If they were going to include places that small they should have called it, "Best Incorporated Places" or something like that.

In addition to Brismark, North Dakota, Winnetka, Illinois, Sartell, Minnesota, and West Fargo, (apparently, not Fargo itself) North Dakota also made the cut.

Is this a serious thread.

Just to what ridiculous lengths are conservatives on here willing to go to in unsuccessfully proving that conservatives states and cities are better places to live than liberal ones? Give it up!

Ha. That is one hell of a conservative gymnastics routine.

I live in one of the top 10. This is not a city. It is a small, extremely wealthy suburb that relies on a big metro for its success. And the county...is blue.

Let’s be honest though liberal ran big cities do tend to crap holes. Often dangerous ones at that. actually pretty much all large cities are liberal garbage cans no matter how the state votes.
