As a responsible gun owner, I truly believe that AR 15 and AK 47 type assault weapons have no business being owned by the public. Those type guns are for the military and LE. Period.
Good for you.
Whatever the military and law enforcement have, so should we (the general public)
The AR-15's and other previously military only weapons are the ones named by Beto.
My 9mm and Colt 44 pistols were military pistols previously used by the Military. There are hundreds of millions of them in circulation and probably the most popular handguns ever made.

I don’t think you’re responsible at all and should turn in all your guns. We don’t trust you.
It's not just Beto. It's every American who pulls the lever for any Democrat. Beto is at least honest enough to own up to the agenda.
100%. Whether it was courage or stupidity, Beto actually broke the ice. The progressives do not want guns in the hands of citizens. They'll make it illegal, and people that are self sufficient but need guns will either be forced to surrender or become non-law-abiding citizens. Make everyone illegal for something and selective enforcement makes tyranny unstoppable.
Here at ground zero you now have to register to buy ammunition. The day before the law was put into place, an old friend and man certainly able to care for himself merely showed a small corner of someplace where a setup was made and one can make their own ammunition. When I get in the area I'll have to check it out.
So how's this for an idea? At the end of the day, more than one weapon at a time has limits on its usefulness. I wonder if one could start a historical museum on weapons and offer owners an opportunity to donate items on a temporary basis. Kind of like exhibits are done. Now, the exhibits may never make the displays....and that temporary basis could be on demand...but that may be a way of owning without owning....
not sure, just brainstorming. The time will come when these guys succeed.
Robert Francis (beta) O'Roark is a fine example of why prepping exists. When government cannot be trusted to honor Constitutional rights, people have no recourse but to take action to ensure they have the means to protect themselves from people like beta that have no idea what they're talking about and no respect for the people of this country.
Self sufficientcy means taking care of yourself and protecting your rights as enumerated in the United States Constitution. The Second Amendment is specifically in there to enable the citizens the means to take back their country from the raving egomaniacs that the uninformed, frightened little wimps try to put into power to undermine that Constitution that allows them to attack the very freedom and liberty they fear and despise.
That said, this thread isn't about self sufficientcy or preparedness, except as a warning and validation of the deep distrust we have of government.
This thread should be in the politics forum.
Thats exactly right, its the patriotic thing to do, but in the eyes of the govt...it will be domestic terrorism.

How is the AR 15 more lethal than the mini 14 ranch rifle?
