Except for some politicians, most NFL/NBA players, and rap artists in general, much of the black race in America are still enslaved, by their own choice. FDR's Social Security Act (Welfare) and LBJ's 'Great Society' only enable people to remain in poverty. Temporary Assistance is not temporary when that assistance continues from generation to generation.
If one is not motivated to work for a living and improve one's place in society, then a slave they remain.

Not everybody has the same opportunities. Sometimes it's not that easy to work and improve one's place in society. Black people aren't the only recipients of welfare either. Not by a long shot.

Didn't say they were. But, a majority, they are.
Here in Waco, we have the town proper, then we have East Waco, which is black Waco. And South Waco, which is mostly brown Waco. East Waco and South Waco have always been poverty stricken. There are no well-to-do sections in those parts of town. Why is it that?

Wasn't easy for me either, but I'm not presumptuous enough to think that everyone has the same opportunities. Hard is one thing. Some people have it damn near impossible.
