Stop with the histrionics, answer the question or move on. btw I wont listen to you because you said so. You've been wrong way too often and rarely back up what you post with facts, logic, or reason. So yes I have doubts whenever I read your posts like the one I'm responding too.
Team Red likes to pound this drum but it's just not true. Prolonged end-of-life care and the issues those folks face in terms of diminished cognitive ability (Parkinson's, Alzheimer's) are by far and away a bigger financial drain on the current socialist healthcare system in the U.S. than obesity-related issues/diseases.
Now, why Team Red likes to pound this drum is beyond me. If they were real capitalists they would be calling for no State involvement whatsoever. They believe that punishing fat people in some form is the answer to lowering cost. Not true.
Fat people are doing you a favor, Team Red. They die earlier and after shorter stints with chronic conditions. They never get to old age where the real money starts to flow with those conditions.
If anything, as I've noted before, the government shouldn't be taxing cigs/booze/junk food. It should save its sin taxes for oatmeal and exercise machines.
Well, there should be no government but you know what I mean.
