I can remember not too many years ago when the Republican party was just as interested in this problem as the Democrats.

That was before the lunatic fringe took over the Republican party, and the fossil fuel lobbies got their hooks into Republican politicians (where they have always had the most effective natural influence). Then the Kochs put their money into primarying politicians who didn't play along. The fact remains: natural disasters and invasions are not partisan concerns, they are everyone's concern and we should not be having partisan arguments over this. In a normal, sane world we would be addressing this threat together.

In a normal, sane world no one would be blaming the countries that are not doing it...totally ignoring the countries that are doing it....and claiming the countries that are not doing it have to pay the countries that are doing it

I can remember when the democrat party was at least smart enough to not make it so blatantly obvious it's a scam

Humans have been adapting to climate change since the beginning of the species, but now we have tremendous sunk costs in coastal infrastructure, desert cities, and other places that are becoming uninhabitable. Saying goodbye to that and moving billions of people, without the cheap oil that built that infrastructure, will be a hit to the wallet.

I am scared about the climate changing. I’ve been in 3 states this week and all had super hot temps, much higher than usual. It's frightening to think that summers may get so hot that we won’t be able to tolerate being outside.

Or that my descendants may have to deal with an awful problem that we, of this generation, could have fixed.

There are so many arrogant people who blow this issue off. Some day they may be frying their a$$es off.

Whatever your views on climate change, it makes sense to take better care of the planet anyway.

Plastics in the ocean and in marine life, smog and pollution and the current threat to the Amazon rainforest all being cases in point.

Ship of Fools VI – Arctic ‘Global Warming’ Mission Scuppered By Mysterious Hard White Substance

Remember, blame every weather anomaly on "climate change" implying "anthropogenic climate change" that will allegedly be resolved by sequestering carbon, and taxes on air.
Please ignore the fact that the "heat trapping" atmosphere cools the planet, and the highest recorded temperature (134F) has not been exceeded, despite generations of "trapping heat."
The Church of the Warming Planet will bless you for your piety.

ICE CAP DIDN'T MELT?
The sunken vessel Anahita, like about a dozen other yachts, was on its way east-west through the Northwest Passage. This summer, however, the ice in the Arctic is persistent. Unlike in previous years, so far there has not been a clear path.
