No, he was investigating the suborning of perjury. And he was appointed by Janet Reno.
Brett perjured himself during the hearing.
He lied about the "Devils Triangle" and he lied about "Boofing."
Every ED physician knows damn well Kavanaugh lied about boofing because they deal with over doses from it often.
“Boofing” is to refer to the act of putting alcohol or psychoactive drugs like cocaine or ecstasy into your rectum, otherwise known as “butt chugging” or “plugging” or “alcohol enemas.
So basically, this was all fabricated to get Kavanaugh back in the news so two authors can sell their fan-fiction about Kavanaugh and the media basically helped scoop the story up without bothering to fact check anything? Got it.

The victim was too drunk to remember apparently. However there were MANY witnesses who claim they saw Kavanaugh expose his penis and shove it into her face, causing her to touch it when she tried to push him away.
Quote:
Ramirez’s allegations were corroborated by at least seven people, and uncovered an account of a parallel incident: A former Yale classmate named Max Stier says he witnessed Kavanaugh with his pants down at a different dorm party, and that his friends had pushed his penis into a female student’s hands.
Kavanaugh could have told the truth about boofing and cautioned young people about the dangers of overdose by boofing. Instead the weasel chose to save himself some embarrassment and lied under oath instead.
Quote:
Risk of overdose. Boofing drugs comes with an increased risk of overdosing because the effects hit you much faster and harder than normal. With alcohol specifically, you will probably consume it over the course of several hours and be able to monitor how you are feeling. Chances are if you are boofing alcohol or butt chugging, you will do it in one go, and the effects will hit you all at once. By consuming alcohol through the rectum, you have also decreased your body’s ability to fight an overdose. Your anus does not have the enzymes to break down the alcohol, and you no longer have the ability to throw up the toxic substance to eliminate it from your body. If your loved one has started boofing alcohol, our alcohol addiction treatment in Florida could save their life.
This was not the definition Kavanaugh used for boofing during his testimony under oath.
Boofing Defined
Quote:
Boofing is the term used for plugging drugs. The process involves inserting either alcohol or drugs into the anus to experience a faster high. The reason why the high becomes more intense and has a more immediate effect is due to the physiology of the anus. This area of the body has a very high number of blood vessels that are located near a thinner surface layer of mucosal membranes. The end result is the absorption rate becomes much faster than that of oral consumption, where the body has to take the time to break down drugs or alcohol before the effects can begin to be felt. There are almost limitless possibilities for boofing. Alcohol, cocaine, and MDMA can all be boofed.
Check out the 414-page report on the various allegations against Justice Kavanaugh by the Senate Judiciary Committee, then led by GOP Senator Chuck Grassley. The committee notes it contacted Ms. Ramirez’s legal team hours after the story broke. Ms. Ramirez’s attorney refused seven requests to provide supporting material.
“Despite the refusal of Ramirez’s legal team to assist the Committee in its investigation,” the Senate report notes, “Committee investigators attempted to investigate her claims to the greatest extent possible, and interviewed seven witnesses regarding the allegation.” In the end, the committee found “no verifiable evidence to support Ramirez’s allegations.”
The Times piece laments that the FBI in a supplemental background check didn’t interview a list of individuals supplied by Ms. Ramirez’s legal team who “may” have had corroborating evidence. But the FBI interviewed Ms. Ramirez, two alleged eyewitnesses and a friend of Ms. Ramirez’s from college, and also turned up no substantiating evidence. A third alleged eyewitness declined an interview.
The Judiciary committee gave FBI a week to complete their investigation, they originally were allowed to interview 4 people but that was expanded to 10. The lawyers for Ford and Ramirez submitted the names of 50 people to interview, the republicans screened the list and only 9 were contacted.
Coons sent a letter to Wray suggesting they contact Stier since he knew the 2nd woman but he was never interviewed nor were the others that could corroborate the story.. The investigation began on a Friday and Kavanaugh was approved the following Saturday.
Quote:
The FBI was informed of allegations that Kavanaugh, while drunk during his freshman year at Yale, exposed himself to two heavily intoxicated female classmates on separate occasions. The bureau did not interview more than a dozen people who said they could provide information about the incidents.
One of the accounts, reported by Deborah Ramirez, was made public at the time of Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearings. The other, not publicly known until this weekend, was reported by a male classmate who said he witnessed the incident. He unsuccessfully sought to get the FBI to investigate with help from a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee who asked FBI Director Christopher A. Wray to look into the allegation.
The BJ was more than just, “alleged”. There was direct evidence of it’s aftermath.
But you are right, that was a waste of time, and money too.
how much time and money was spent looking for a stain on a dress.
Seriously -- let's not pretend that was a worthwhile investigation. It was a smear campaign and the govt. spent tons of money and time trying to prove it happened.
This is a life time appointment.
The FBI had no right to refuse to hear evidence.
I'm not convinced there are enough facts...but we will never know because there was not given the property time and attention to a property investigation.
If I was Kavanaugh and I was truly innocent I would be pushing The White House to allow a full on investigation to prove innocence.

That intensive investigation by Ken Starr and his assistant Brett Kavanaugh also ruined the life of Monica Lewinsky. I guess that didn't matter to Brett at the time. A young woman was only collateral damage for his witch hunt.
