Not true. According to the dairy industry the loss of illegal workers would almost double the cost of dairy. That would be close to a 100 billion dollars. Other industries would have similar problems.
But that extra money would go to AMERICANS as wages.

Why do you refer to this as a "problem"?
Because it is also Americans who would pay the billions. And basically the economy added 90 billion or so without any increase in the value of the product.
Face it my friend. Illegals are a good deal to the economy even though we should not have them and should get rid of them.

Wouldn't it be more accurate to say that the economy STOLE the billions from the illegals who were doing the work before, and has now stopped stealing the money?
Course, you could always repeal the Minimum Wage on farm labor. Then the Americans will be getting the same wage for the same work as the illegals did.
Hmm.
You know, it seems that obeying all the myriad of Americans laws, results in a bad deal no matter who you are, correct?
What does that tell you about the basic philosophy of the people who put them in place?
"Public charge" was first raised in the late 1800's. in 1999, and unchanged by the Bush Administration, it was defined to mean a long-term/life-long public charge.
Now, we want to allow government officials to prognosticate the likelihood that someone MAY need assistance for any 12 months in a 3 year period?
Just make it so they're ineligible for any benefits until they've become full citizens. And then they are of course treated like every other citizen.
We're GOING to have a path for Dreamers. May as well have it as well-defined and with limited benefits until citizenship as possible. And deport their illegal parents.
No path except to the nearest port of entry for immediate deportation.
The reason DACA exists is because it is believed that the Dreamers will all end up permanent residents and likely citizens. For all intents and purposes they are Americans having come through our education system and in general being assimilated and speaking English.
Practically they are the last of the illegals that we would deport. So after we resolve the front 10 million we can get to the Dreamers.
No they are not. I wish that people would stop rewarding illegal behaviour.

Was your mother an immigration attorney by any chance?
