I admit I am bothered by the politicization of climate change because it is bad for the scientific study of the phenomenon. Scientists need to keep themselves above the fray and not let the politics skew their observations and studies. Perhaps they need a two-branch approach: one group to perform the studies and the second to interact politically?
So these nutters want me to give up meat, cars and airplanes for the sake of the climate, which we cannot control?
What really takes the cake is the suggestion that AC be set to 82 degrees - at night (!) Gah! I run a portable unit in the bedroom full blast at night, in addition to my central system. It's the only way I can sleep between April and October.
Anybody who thinks they're gonna take that away from me has better be ready for a fight.
Stuff like this is why Trump is guaranteed four more years.
The environmaniacs have worshipped "Gaia" aka "mother earth" forever... they are 2 faced loony liars! They want everyone else to give up everything destroy jobs destroy the economy and want rid of 75% of the population. However these same lovers of Gaia/ME drive cars/trucks/Suv's, live in houses built from wood and use electricity from coal fired power plants. They love the Communist Manifesto especially as it pertains to private property rights. They are watermelons...green on the outside red inside!
More like religion is the primary reason people deny climate change.
It's ironic seeing so many people who literally believe that the earth is 6000 years old, that the warming planet is a sign we are living in the End Times, and that Jesus will be returning soon to rapture them acting like they are so much smarter and more "enlightened" than real scientists.
Until the climate change crusaders address their jeremiads to China and India, they will remain mired in futility. Of course, that assumes that they are interested in results rather than in seeking to proclaim their moral piety.
