This is an AP story. It must have been verified. The AP is conservative, and as near as I can tell, unbiased. Our president has tried to conspire with a foreign government to influence the next presidential election. Think about that. Try to wrap your head around it.

Yes he said that — from “Denmark” like Denmark would tell him anything after the Greenland debacle...
He didn’t tell George that he would coerce help from a foreign power... which is what this comes down too

He expected it from a “small, nothing of a country like Ukraine” (and that is Trump’s opinion I am sure)
He didn’t get it right away so he had to do some arm-twisting

I don't doubt that he may have been trying to impress someone or ingratiate himself with someone and then just blurted out something he may have been thinking but shouldn't have said. That is quite possible, other people do it.
On the other hand, he may have actually been unaware that he was being recorded. Some things surprise him and he doesn't have very good support inside the white house. They are short staffed and browbeaten and he doesn't listen to them. So it's quite possible ... no one told him, or worse ... he forgot and no one was there to remind him.
If you were an anti-Trump leaker in the Intel Community afraid that you are about to be exposed with a criminal investigation, might you not seek protection by calling yourself a "whistleblower"? LOL!

I’m sorry if you know all the calls are being monitored you don’t say what they’re claiming he did so chances are once again the liberals are exaggerating this story. Remember how many times already we’ve seen false news break only to find out hours later it’s been exaggerated or is completely fabricated
There would have been transcriptions of the calls. Why doesn't Trump simply release the trascriptions and prove once and for all he's on the up-and-up and innocent of all charges.

Their last prez (Dubya) was a failure, but even he is head and shoulders above tRump in terms of decorum and respect for the law. The GOP needs to have some soul searching on their way forward.
Because their path over the past two decades has been spiraling downward. Which is bad for our country, because America works best when both parties are healthy and able to offer up viable policy alternatives.
