Look, Trump tried to recruit a foreign government to provide dirt on a candidate’s son, in order to influence the USA’s 2020 presidential election. This a major thing, a very, very bad major thing. It has been corroborated. He has basically admitted it.
You can try to minimize this all you want to. But it happened, and it is deeply wrong. It is a betrayal of our country and its electoral process. It is a betrayal of his country.
I am not worried about the Ukrainian government looking into Hunter Biden. I don’t care. If guilty, let the chips fall where they may.
I do care, however, that the President is pressuring foreign countries to try to dig up dirt on political rivals.
What about Obama & Hillary asking the Ukraine government to dig up dirt on anyone in the Trump campaign circles. They created a fake "black ledger" and convicted Manafort with it.
As you point out, the trouble is between Trump, Ukraine and promises. Is he promising that all future downed KLM flights will not happen? Is Trump selling Ukraine to Russia, EU is left on their own - dangling from the chandeliers, and nothing good can come from secret promises from a campaigning president?
Is Trump transparent about this, or is he playing caps?
You do realize that it was the DNC and Hillary campaign that actually hired Fusion GPS on the sly by funneling through Perkins-Coie and that Fusion GPS sent Natalia Veselnitskaya to Trump Tower looking for an offer that didn't come, right?
You do realize that it was the RNC who actually got the ball rolling with Fusion to dig up dirt on Trump, and abandoned the project when he was nominated, don't you? Because whether you do or not, it's certainly true.
Either way, the current question is whether Trump tried to rig the 2020 election by enlisting the aid of a foreign nation by threatening to withhold aid.
That would make him a traitor, and as close to treason as you can get without a war in place. The truth will come out, whether he is innocent or guilty. If he really wants to put the matter to rest, all he has to do is simply release the transcripts of the telephone calls.

The unindicted co-conspirator needs dirt on his main opponent. So instead of using his campaign to spend the money to do the work. Trump uses the office and our money.
Trump should resign before he is impeached. Trump is doing just what everyone thought. He is self impeaching.

Yet he will not release information which will prove he is not a crook.
