Another dot: The whistleblower filed the complaint just a few weeks after the "forest fire" call.

Or fill cabinet seats with lobbyists?

Or hire his unqualified cabana boy to a USDA post just 'cus he's loyal?

Would that work too?
Exactly. The Republicans are Fascists and have committed high treason. Anyone who loves America and the Constitution would realize this. It started with Reagan saying "Government Is the Problem". And Newt Gingrich declared outright war on Democrats and democracy along with the majority of Republicans since then. They forgot - we already fought a Civil War and they are going to lose this war on America as well. The GOP is completely controlled by Satanic ideas and desires for slavery and Tyranny. They do this in the name of God!

This is key: the IG is apolitical, he doesn't have any loyalties to either party, just America. The IG felt this complaint WAS credible so he elevated it to the DNI.

Trump's hand-picked DNI tried to shut this down, so in the interests of national security, the IG went around the DNI and warned Congress.

Luckily for America, due to the nature of today's briefing, Trump and his DNI have NO authority to block today's hearings

But acting director of national intelligence Joseph Maguire has refused to share details about Trump’s alleged transgression with lawmakers..."

The complaint was filed with Atkinson’s office on Aug. 12, a date on which Trump was at his golf resort in New Jersey. White House records indicate that Trump had had conversations or interactions with at least five foreign leaders in the preceding five weeks...

Among them was a call with Russian President Vladimir Putin that the White House initiated on July 31. Trump also received at least two letters from North Korean leader Kim Jong Un during the summer, describing them as “beautiful” messages."

While reading just think to yourself If Obama made a promise to some foreign leader so troubling that it warranted whistleblowing AND his appointed DNI chief illegally refuses to allow any congressional oversight, would that be OK?

I hope the whistleblower just goes directly to Congress with this info!
What exact promise was made to whom?

What an intentionally obtuse question. How can anyone give specifics when the DNI refuses to disclose the details, despite being required to do so by law?

Here’s what we know: Trump made a promise to a foreign leader that was so troubling that a intelligence official, potentially risking his career, filed a whistleblower complaint. The complaint was determined to be credible by the apolitical IG. Moreover, the IG determined that it was both “urgent” and a sufficient threat to national security such that he felt he needed to alert the Director of National Security. The acting DNI, in concert with the DoJ and/or White House, found that Trump’s promise, if revealed to the public, would be so politically damaging and overtly concerning that they decided it was better to have the acting DNI break the law than share it with Congress. The IG, in turn, found it so concerning and urgent that he then alerted Congress to the existence of the whistleblower complaint and the DNI’s lawbreaking.

This sequence of events troubles me. It should trouble you too.

After FBI officials colluded to overturn the election, I'm not going to believe any anonymous source vague accusation.

If it was a false complaint, why did the IG already find it “credible”? If it wasn’t a threat to national security, why did a whstleblower risk his career to file a complaint and why did the IG alert the DNI and then alert Congress when the DNI buried it? If it was a “nothingburger,” why is the acting Director of National Intelligence willing to break the law to hide it from the public?

Bury your head in the Trump-sycophant sand if you like. It is objectively incredibly concerning.
