This is a last ditch effort, which I don't think will go anywhere. Impeachment is unpopular with voters-except the far left fringe of maybe what, 25%?

Plus, what does this impeachment process do? It ties up the news cycle and focuses news on impeachment, up until the presidential election in 2020.

Which does what? Prevents a democratic candidate from receiving desperately needed attention and air time for desperately needed votes.
