Thinking people know a stunt when they see one, and while I understand conservatives may not, I bet even you know the disingenuous foundation of this "clean-up"
Who cares? They are voluntarily doing a free service.
What we clearly understand is that the people who are supposed to genuinely care about the poor aren't doing squat.
What are some possible signs that conservatives might do such an act for stunt/political statement purposes vs. doing it because it is the right thing to do?

When they 'genuinely care about the poor" in their own red states - let me know. Anxiously awaiting them to go and clean up the areas of Mississippi without running toilets and write about it.
A conservative activist has been organizing large groups of people to help clean up trash infested liberal cities like Baltimore and LA. Instead of being grateful that an outsider from Northern Virginia has come to help restore these cities (as the local governments are happy to see neighborhoods rot) the liberal media decides to paint this guy in a negative light. Is anyone really surprised?
Sadly, no. Meanwhile, there are good samaritans still out there who are willing to take the time and make things better in these infested and downtrodden areas. Just once, I'd like to see news reporters praising the good things people do for others.
I just think Democrats are embarrassed. It shows that people who live in these rat-infested, trash-strewn Democratic cities could keep their neighborhoods at least somewhat tidy if they cared to do so. And certainly local public officials could organize "clean up" days if they thought anyone would participate.
And being "poor" is no excuse. My parents grew up in poor NY neighborhoods, and people took pride in where they lived. Doesn't take money to wrap up garbage in a bag and throw it in a trash can.
