Conservatives see life in black and white. All or nothing. No nuance or shades of gray.
Eating meat three times a week as opposed to three meals a day . . . things like that simply do not register.
As an independent, I see the hard left behaving and thinking the same way. You either Vote for Obama or you are a racist. If you own guns you are a gun nut. If you are anti-illegals you are a racist and anti-immigrant. I can go on and on.
I'm seeing much more hypocrisy from the left these days than the right. They seem to have a bloated sense of self-importance. Virtue signaling and lecturing others all the while doing whatever they want.
Its all about meh feewings.... Their positions make them feel good but implementing them into their lives doesnt.....thus the hypocracy. After all, if nobody finds out, it never really happened.
The left wears their hypocrisy like a badge of honor. They have the moral high-ground on all points, so even when they're wrong they're still right no matter what.
They are carbon neutral because they donated $1.5B to HRC - eating a steak, burning enough fuel in their private jets to heat a home for 5 years, running power bills that would choke even the modestly well off, and so much more, is their right because they deserve it. Even if, in many cases, we little people paid for their privilege.
It's disgusting how patently disconnected they are from the reality they pretend to understand!

Less does not mean 0, and yet that is how the people in this thread are operating. Mind you, even if the people in this thread comprehended that, it would still be a flawed discussion, since not all liberals argue to eat less meat, and yet, this thread operations on that premise as well.

The irony of all this is that the longest living people (as an identifiable group) in the United States are the members of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. And these people are conservatives to the core.........
except for the fact that they strongly discourage and mostly abstain from the eating of meat.
Good way to have less is to start by not having almost 11K pounds of it.
The 11k pounds of meat is for a LARGE GROUP of people.
