So the so-called 'whistleblower' was trying to pull a sneaky. This is not a good look for these people involved in this attempted take-down of President Trump. The IG is not likely to appreciate this act of deception.

That's correct. The investigations in the texts refer to the 2016 elections and Burisma. Trump was the first person on transcripts now available to bring in Joe Biden. As for your red highlights, Zelensky took his advice.
In the Trump-Zelensky phone conversation, Trump only talks about Crowdstrike and the Bidens while Zelensky speaks about corruption in general. But at the same time, Zelensky clearly has been briefed about the investigation target, himself making a reference to Burisma when Trump had not.
