Again, here is a link to the eight page letter from the White House telling Pelosi and the Democrat Kangaroo Court leaders in Congress where they can put their unconstitutional "Impeachment inquiry," which still has not been voted on much less approved by the House of Representatives.

Yes we understand the white house's current defense strategy is to gaslight their base into believing false information about the process of impeachment. The problem is they will need more than the base for what is coming.

It is the Democrat left mass media and the Democrats in Congress who are doing the gas-lighting. And they are not even trying to be subtle about it anymore. Their behavior really is a complete disgrace.

Nope, factually incorrect. It is clearly the executive branch gaslighting the process, since they are claiming to have oversight over congressional impeachment when in reality it is the exact opposite of the case, with the constitution of the US giving all impeachment powers to congress. There is no executive branch input involved, and there is no right of the executive branch to attempt to determine congressional impeachment processes, nada.
"The House of Representatives shall choose their Speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment." < from the constitution
"the Court has suggested that the grant to the House of the "sole" power of impeachment makes the House the exclusive interpreter of what constitutes an impeachable offense." < from the supreme court
"Presently, it is the House Judiciary Committee that initiates the process and then, after investigating the allegations, prepares recommendations for the whole House's consideration." < the current process for starting an inquiry
So you can keep kicking your feet and throwing tantrums and sayin' it ain't so when it plainly is so. That kind of stuff might work on the base when they are on message boards, it remains to be seen if it will actually hold up under the law.

The plan seems to be to slow walk this through the primaries, leave Republican candidates twisting in the wind as they try to support Trump without being painted as traitors and fools themselves.
The longer Nancy draws it out, and the more information that is made public, the less viability the GOP will have in 2020 if they continue to support Donnie.
It's a damned fine time not to be a republican in elected office.

Former Rep. Trey Gowdy has agreed to a request from the White House to assist President Trump as the Democrat-led impeachment inquiry moves forward.
Though initial reports claimed that Gowdy had declined an invite from the White House to participate in the president's defense, the former GOP representative of South Carolina is now on board to assist, according to Law & Crime.
UPDATE: FOX News has confirmed that Gowdy has been terminated as a contributor on the network following confirmation that he will provide outside counsel to Trump during the impeachment inquiry.

Sounds like Trump's strategy is more geared towards trying to get Republicans in the Senate to support him through thick and thin rather than deal with the actual allegations.

If you say so.
