All of politics exist by nepotism, bribery and blackmail. Look at Biden and his son, lets face it with his history who should have been flipping burgers at Burger King(drug use, thrown out of military) and he is just one example of a child of privilege and power achieving position purely based on their parents. Not much different then the scam on kids going to elite schools. Powerful office holders get pork barrel projects for themselves, their friends and their states and use our tax money to force others to do their bidding. We should look at every friend, child, wife and relative of a politician and examine if they are really qualified for the position.
