Obama tells Russia's Medvedev more flexibility after election

President Barack Obama was caught on camera on Monday assuring outgoing Russian President Dmitry Medvedev that he will have “more flexibility” to deal with contentious issues like missile defense after the U.S. presidential election.

Obama, during talks in Seoul, urged Moscow to give him “space” until after the November ballot, and Medvedev said he would relay the message to incoming Russian president Vladimir Putin.

The story here: Obama/Russians
Yet the Democratic leadership didn't accuse Obama with colluding with the Russians to affect the election. He wanted the Russians to let issues slide so as to better his chances of winning. Sounds like collusion to me.

Show us the quid pro quo, in simpler language You do something specificfor me and I’ll do something specific for you.

That is very clearly absent. This is just Russian collusion redux. We will here the same shrill accusations, ignorant claims of treason and as each gambit crumbles to the ground; assurances of buh, buh, buh you just wait.

To which a simple, Not yet., is the response.

Oh! I forgot the childish foot stomping, terrible twos histrionics that accompanies this.

Meanwhile, two more constitutionalist federal judges will be confirmed this week.

If one can't see that there is a categorical difference between making a statement that you will have more flexibility after an election to negotiate and make policy and actually pressuring the president of a foreign nation to investigate a political rival, then you are being willfully dense.

Stop deflecting. One of these things is not like the other. Remember that song from when you were a toddler? It applies now. They are nothing alike and never will be. Your president is a gangster, no different than the oligarchs who run the Ukraine and Russia.

And remember this isn't the first time Trump has done this. I vividly remember him having a rally and asking Russia to find Hillary's emails. He did it on television, in front of the nation, without shame, and his supporters loved him for it. Turns out, Russia was listening. Now he's continuing to do it in the Oval Office and people are surprised? C'mon! Stop being so disingenuous.

Deflection is a sign of weakness. Trump and his supporters are wounded animals - desperate and dangerous.

If it's hearsay, this can all be cleared up with the transcript, the complaint itself, and other relevant documents. Oh wait...the White House won't turn those over to Congress. Hmm. Maybe what was heard said was pretty bad for someone whose name rhymes with grump.

Trump admitted it.

Oh, sheesh...I was thinking facts still didn't matter for a moment there. Now that he's admitted it, surely his supporters will want him punished for such a blatant violation of the law and the Constitution. What a relief!

As usual, no legal basis. If former could cubbyhole oral sex as not having sex, then this matters not as well well.

Let's impeach Obama! Oh, wait, we can't. He's not president.

Well, to begin with, there was no specific implied quid-pro-quo.

And, really, Trump suffers from his record of having so many strikes against him that anything he does now is suspect.
