Nixon resigned and is pretty far down the list of Presidents....but still some give him some credit for actual legislation in certain matters.

Clinton was "impeached" for sexual escapades he wasn't clear enough about - and yet he was highly popular and still is (in general, among the populace).

Trump is already in the bottom 2 POTUS in all scholar and historian surveys, has done zero in terms of actual legislation and long term a policy AND may be impeached and/or removed. In any case, that's unlikely to leave him looking too good.

He hasn't been approved of by a majority of Americans since his first week in office - and that is unlikely to change even if he beats this rap and is re-elected. In other words, the die is cast as far as he and history go.

Pencil-neck crooked Schiff needs to go for LYING as he read the transcript filling in his own "parody" ...Of course you hear silence from the Dem's about this because they are okay with him lying and if a Whistleblower said Trump had sex with Mickey Mouse, they would believe that too and push for impeachment.

This is very problematic for Trump.

Once he loses the next election (or leaves office early), he will be vulnerable to Federal and State charges for his prior criminal acts, and in his desperation to win the next election he is creating more new crimes he could be charged with while out of office. Now THAT whole new ball of wax has been exposed and Trump realizes the serious implications of it.

Trump does this to himself, and he's getting old, this is a very stressful time for him. There may have to be extraordinary efforts to keep him alive to stand trial.

Agreed! They have been looking for a way to nullify the election every since he was elected.

I'm not a Trump fan...but I will say, the more they try to get rid of him in every way EXCECT the ballot box....the more I detest them for it, and the more likely I'd be to vote for him again if they keep this up. It's almost like they aren't 100% sure they can beat him in 2020....so they are desperate to get rid of him before the election.

News flash....the 2020 election is little more than a year away....run a DECENT dem candidate and beat him the old fashioned way, earn it! In a regularly scheduled election.

Just like HRC before, if you can't find a candidate in your party that can beat Donald Trump, you're in a sad state of affairs. And sadly....all this impeachment talk this close to an election just reinforces to me that you don't think you have a candidate who can beat him.

The dems always talk about disenfranchising voters, and what a horrible thing that is to do, but you impeach him for this, and you've just disenfranchised about 60 million voters who voted for him. Nice idea!

They got nothing. They never will. He has done nothing wrong to be impeached. The Dem's have been trying since 2016.

That's about the same percentage when Watergate first came out. The numbers rapidly decreased as investigation continued...the people got the facts, turned against Nixon and he was out of there.
