That proves that this is not about any wrongdoing by Trump. It's just a partisan effort to remove the President because he's not one of you.
Trump will never be removed UNLESS the Republicans in the Senate remove him. The Senate makes that decision, not the house; but I thought you would know that.

Of course, it's a problem for a sitting president to use the powers of his office to solicit another country digging up dirt on a political rival.

Even Republicans admit that.

And why WAS the funding for Ukraine held up so long?

You've had your blitzkrieg of media lies, and the victims are still putting the pieces together to try to convey the truth to the people.
Define 'impeachable offense".

It's not. No matter where it might have happened. Your position is astonishing.
I don't think we ever want to get into a position where a president is directing investigations of his political opponents from the white house. Resurrecting an investigation into Burisma and Hunter Biden from 2014 is punitive unless you can quote one fact for this course of action.

Perhaps it was held up until their elections were done and a new ukraine administration was in place. Did you think of that?

He didn't ask for help in smearing anyone. You know that.

If Biden committed crimes, uncovering them won't be a smear. And if the investigation clears him, then where's the smear?

Truth is, I think Trump intentionally engineered this. Have a lot of people having scandalous sounding conversations. Not a bad way for finding leakers.

Many people told the Dems ...

For some reason they didn't listen. Does any sane person think there's anything impeachable here?? Seeking an investigation into one's political rival -- very lightly suggesting it in this case -- constitutes an egregious treasonous act? Okay, everyone with any involvement whatsoever in pursuing the Russian Collusion investigation needs to be lined up and shot for high treason then. Anyone who has even said anything similar to, "We demand to see Trump's tax returns" is now also guilty of a capital crime as well.

Seriously, how stupid are we getting here??
Wake me up when you have something specific that Giuliani and Trump wanted to investigate.

The key questions is what crimes, if you cant come up with a solid specific reason for the investigation then there is no point. Both the current and prior prosecutors closed the book on Burisma so why would they reopen the investigation.

I hate to cut Barr any slack on this
https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/n...l-with-ukraine
(PS Was going to post on the Trump phone call thread and it is closed)

But Trump is such a loose cannon you can believe this is something he didn’t tell Barr he did before he did it—
It was probably just spur of the moment and name-dropping for Trump
But Barr’s name in there several times to make Zelensky know that Trump was doing this “legally” with adding the AG into the mix

And then when Barr DID read the edited transcript w/the whistle blower’s report, he likely dropped a load and decided to cover it up pronto...
To keep himself out of the fire as much as anything
Barr is a liar and a conspirator from way back so he knew the trouble that phone call could be

Biden is much more than a political opponent. Ultimately, as the head of the executive branch, Trump is in charge of enforcing federal law. No one gets to break the law just because he's running for President.

Compare this suggested inquiry into the motives for one specific act (which Biden said he committed) with the open-ended "Russia" fishing expedition based solely on the fact that Trump was the accusers' political opponent. How could you possibly defend that and claim there's something wrong with checking to see whether the Ukrainian prosecutor that Biden removed was still investigating Hunter Biden's company?
