"President Trump met Friday with National Rifle Association (NRA) CEO Wayne LaPierre to discuss how the gun rights organization could possibly provide financial assistance to help defend the president as he faces a scandal, The New York Times reported Friday, citing two people familiar with the situation."
Today has really been Trumpesque Schitt’s Creek...
This is how Trump did business for decades. He would make a deal with Satan if he had to. As a businessman, it helped him tremendously. He hasn't realized yet that being president is entirely different from being a businessman. If he goes down over tis, he has only himself to blame. But of course he will never see that and will blame everyone else. The man makes Nixon look like a decent and ethical man in comparison.
The thing is, it didn't help him. His lifetime return on his inheritance was virtually zero or negative by 2010 and only went up to a tiny ROI due to the Russian money (which he and his sons freely admit has been their biggest business for 10+ years).....
I've seen this many a time. I had competitors in business who thought their hijinks (such as not charging sales tax) was going to result in them making their millions and retiring early. Guess what? All went out of business.
It's a real fairy tale that Trump succeeded in anything other than Reality TV...I will give him that one. He's a clown and an actor. I watched as he was forced to sell his boat, his airline and the Taj Mahal (his biggest project) at 5 cents on the dollar.
In business we don't consider that a good thing. The "origin story" of Trump that many carry in their heads is just wrong...and I say that as someone who boated alongside his yacht in Atlantic City and spent my first 45 years in the general area.

Oh God the Taj Mahal was the biggest flop of its’ time. Trump went after the analyst that warned NJ the project would never cash flow as projected and wound up costing the state millions ( which it did).
As a young commercial banker this was the poster child deal of what NOT to finance, lol.
God some of his supporters are either to stupid to see a con man loser when you see one, or crooked themselves.
What the hell are you on about? How is this supposed to be wrong? Are you on someone's payroll?
