It's a bit ridiculous what Putin is saying there, but it's also a perfectly reasonable expectation. A conversation between two heads of state must have some degree of privacy just for simple diplomatic relations to work. Remember that Trump got the okay from the Ukrainian president before releasing that transcript.
Can anyone name for me any other President whose phone calls to foreign heads of state were made publicly available to everyone? Should we insist on the release of all prior calls from all prior presidents? How far down this rabbit hole are we willing to go.
