sorry, no. on the spot heart surgery is normal? I don't think so. Average joe that walks into the VA with chest pain gets a referral and some aspirin.
Every patient is treated differently based on their history and physical findings. VA or Mayo. Medical standards of care are practiced here, there, everywhere.
He probably will be ok, but it’s all about perception. He’s 78. In most people’s minds 78 + heart problems = death soon to follow. They will think “do I want to vote for a guy that may pass away in office?”
I fully expect Hillary to start lobbying hard for the VP position on his ticket if he gets nominated.
We don't know the angiogram. If the rest of the vessels are good, then he is physically better today than yesterday. If the other vessels look bad, then his prognosis is poorer, both for his health and his potential for election.
Breaking CNN: Bernie Sanders hospitalized over heart attack.. our anonymous sources have confirmed that this is an unprecedented abuse of power by Trump.

It doesn’t matter if he’s better than before. It doesn’t matter if he gets a clean bill of health. It just doesn’t matter. It’s all about perception. A 78 year old man with heart problems is done.

That’s just wrong. + 1.
I disagree. Bernie supporters will still be there if he's fit. And many if he's not.
I wish Bernie well. I don't think I could ever vote for him, but he does have a life long history of service to America.
