China could easily concoct a fake case against anyone in the world. They're a corrupt communist country who imprison it's own dissidents based on absolutely nothing. Trump could easily ask for a case against Hunter Biden to be made in exchange for some sort of trade deal concession. That Americans don't see this is mind-boggling.
I had the chance to watch a several mins of Fox News throughout today and can understand why the folks don't see what's going on with Trump. They don't talk about these sorts of things - They're reporting on AOC, Warren drinking beer, and some other nonsense. Very little is discussed about Trump's possible deal (aid) with Ukraine in exchange for dirt on Biden.

Well, it's pretty simple. China has always stressed mutual non-interference in internal affairs, because it's had a very unhappy experience with foreign colonialism and imperialism as a country. They don't want that as an excuse for the US to butt its nose into Chinese domestic political affairs.
