I think the harassment, and it is harassment, is going to work out for President Trump.

He chose to hire George Papadapoulos who became inebriated in a bar and blabbed about the Trump campaign's "secret weapon".
He chose to hire Mike Flynn in spite of Obama's warnings that he was bad news.
He chose to lie to the public about his Moscow Trump Tower deal.
He chose to lie about each and every one of the 150+ contacts his campaign team had with Russian operatives.
He chose to lie about his affairs with porn stars & hush money payments to them.
He chose not to divest of his business interests & instead encourages foreign leaders to patronize them.
He chose to lift the donation limits for his inaugural committee and can't explain the vanished money(given the size of his inaugural crowd relative to amount raised).
He chose to confess to the solicitation of a foreign government to help his campaign in that "perfect call".
He and his supporters can whine, whine, whine, all they want, but Donald Trump is the root cause of every investigation.
Why do 39% of self-identifying Republicans, in America, reflexively support someone like this?
By now what the Democrats have been doing for three years, has reached the boiling point of harassment of the President and First family!
This is so beyond annoying and sick that I rather not listen to the news too much as all the Democrats are gaining is that I despite them and find them sad, sick, whining, trolls, snow flakes, etc.
Democrats had their investigations and lost all credibility.
I don’t think the President lost any true supporter but probably gained many voters that are beyond annoyed by what the Liberals are doing.
Luckily, I’m a calm person and only wish all Karma and boomerangs to go straight to the Democrats. Then all I can do is smile, which is sad enough as I rather have all people doing well and not this sick mentality the liberals have.
Btw, in the streets the people are nice, friendly and nothing is going on like in DC and what we see by Pelosi, Schiff, Schumer, Nadler, Waters, and the whining junior Congress whiners.

BUT - he made it a point to let the American people know that he was still working and focused on THEIR behalf - as opposed to Trump who does just the opposite.
He didn't want anyone to think that the impeachment was preventing him from getting his work done.

You nailed it. Trump is keeping this thing front and center by tweeting and complaining about it every 5 minutes. If he was smart, he would shut up, put away his tweeter, and ignore it all. Him doing all of this bit**ing makes him look even guiltier.
But, as we have seen over and over again, Trump has no self control and very thin skin. This is all eating at him bigly, and he thinks venting about it is somehow going to make it all go away.

I think that Trump is keeping it front and center deliberately. I think he is fixated on Biden and is trying to knock Biden out of the campaign because Biden is the D that Trump does not want to run against. I think he still thinks that he could "...stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody" and not "lose any voters." I think he thinks that he is the second coming of Bill Clinton.
I think he's right about his core base. It's the people that aren't in his core base that he has to worry about - the Rs and independents who would really have preferred to vote for someone else, plus the Ds. Impeachment all depends on congressional Rs. He's sure done his best over the past few years to anger many prominent Rs by calling them names and disparaging them over issues large and small. I have to wonder how many of them would prefer President Pence.

Giving it back three fold is considered by some to be stooping to their level, or just plain bad manners.
Any politician who runs for national office expects some to not agree with what they are doing. Many hear those who do not agree with them. It is good politics and government. They might learn something from critics. Many just ignore the noise from their critics.
IMO, that's far better for a civilized society than being cheered on by a bunch of 7th graders who have too much testosterone and not enough brains.

After the birtherism, Michelle Obama's sleeves, and Michelle Obama ape things I'm amazed anybody can make such a complaint, not to mention that this is an investigation into something that's against the country

You have a very short memory - or don’t care to remember how they treated Obama - please. - the man is grown and except for the boy that stays out of the limelight- they can handle the heat. No need for trumpettes protection ! Why do you feel the most powerful man in the planet needs your protection? Is he not the superhero you made him out it to be ??
