Presidents have a far more limited impact on the economy than most realize. The economy was doing quite well under Warren Harding and no one would say he was an effective president or was the reason for the Roaring 20s. The economy is more globalized than ever so the role of the President is far weaker than ever as well since if the rest of the world enters a recession that will have an impact on the US economy.
I'm glad the record for job growth continued for another month 109 months. WOW....that's amazing.
Manufacturing is officially in deep trouble. This suggests while the economy is okay -- it's showing signs for concern.
Recognizing that manufacturing is in trouble isn't wishing it to be in trouble or for a recession...it's just paying attention to all the signs and not picking and choosing in order to make Trump look good.
The manufacturing index slump is related to the trade war and assuming that at some point either Trump or China gives it that will not be a long term issue.

While dems whine about the weak jobs report, the unemployment rate has dropped to a record low of 3.5%. Looks like everyone who wants a job, has a job. While Trump continues to restore America to it's former glory (when everyone understood what bathroom they were to use) dems focus all their energy and our nation's limited resources on trying to remove Trump. If that doesn't work, they will do everything possible to crash the economy so they can blame it on Trump.
Trump still has a lot of work to do (lot of wall left to be built), but he's accomplished far more in 3 years vs 8 years of Obummer, when workers had to crawl on their hands and knees and beg for retail and fast food jobs. MAGA > Hope and change.
