Weather this is how it happened or not. His goose is cooked. After his announcement in front of the world, for China to launch an investigation on Biden to help his re election. To ask another country to try and manipulate our election, against an oath he took to the constitution to uphold. That right there let alone his other antics, can get you impeached. Even some Rep. are shaking their heads on this.
Actually, it's beginning to look like the dems may back out of impeachment.

Yes. What's disheartening for me is that people I know and associate with appear to be clueless about what he's tried to do - and they're okay with his history pre-presidency and his actions (cyber bullying, insulting, point fingers, etc).
But these were the same people who didn't want an African American POTUS, who still think the Iraq War was worthwhile, who think Nixon was unfairly treated, etc....they seem to be on the wrong side of history....decade after decade.
Some of the people you know sound exactly like some I know. It hurts my head how otherwise sensible, intelligent people can be so blind and so accepting of his history and his current corrupt actions. I like these friends, so we stay away from talking about Trump to preserve our friendship. The few times we have discussed Trump, their comeback is always "Yes, but Hillary...……….".
You are also right about the Obama/African American thing. There is no convincing them that he did anything worthwhile during his term. How they forget that we were all suffering and losing so much in the 2008/09 period, and how he worked to turn that around, is amazing.
You can bet that, years from now, when Trump is gone, his flock will still be grumbling about how he was railroaded. Nixon would have loved to have these people around when he was kicked out of office.

Clinton was impeached over lying about a blow job when the economy was going great guns. Surplus in the federal budget and all.

No one even suggested that he wasn't guilty of them, they just argued that it shouldn't matter that he was guilty of those things because he committed his crimes to cover up infidelity.

Yep, Nancy Pelosi said last weekend before this all started to fall apart that she knew this could cost them the House in 2020.
I put the odds of the dems going through with impeachment at 50/50 and dropping at this point.
