No one has actually advocated banning guns. This is a strawman that keeps getting used by conservatives on liberals.
I'm a gun owner myself. I advocate background checks and teaching people to not be so damn trigger happy. Use guns responsibly. No, shooting into the dark is not responsible.

sounds like he has anger issues if he is going to answer the door with a gun for a possible family member he had an argument with.
1- he shot someone without any confrontation. 2- they were outside the house. 3 - they were not attempting to enter the house. 4- he didn't confirm his target. i don't know how this guy isn't facing manslaughter charges at least.
Sounds to me like that man is a coward using a gun for courage.
This is why I am against gun control. If there were no guns then gun owners couldn't shoot themselves and "accidently" shoot their friends and family members.
Seriously though, this type of story happens far to often. Shooting first and asking questions later is bad strategy.
