How do you figure? Do you know of any "libs" who forced anyone to undergo trans surgery? Do you think that it is anyone's job to save people from themselves?
The first TG person I ever heard of was born Richard Raskin and became Renee Richards in 1975. When Gerald Ford was president. What could - or should - Ford have done to stop Raskin/Richards? What could or should anyone have done?
Whatever the case and cause, I feel badly for these people. Geez, I can't even decided between fried or scrambled this morning and they wake up with conflicts about their basic gender. I don't understand that, can't relate, but I am not going to join the right wing posters in ridiculing them.

Regrets are not uncommon. A quick look around the internet and you can find many stories as well as support for TG who decided that they were what they were born with.
And they are treated horribly by LGBT when they decide to "go back." Like traitors.
Regrets in any procedure are not uncommon, be it a boob job, a nose job, Botox injections, etc. Big deal if some people who had sex change reassignment have a little buyer's remorse. It happens.
However, there are probably more people who have had this done who are very happy they made that decision. Nature does mess up occasionally, and we have the means to correct those mistakes.
But don't you quite strongly want legislation passed making it a severe penalty to get transgender surgery or be a doctor who does such surgery? Or at least ban such surgery until person is at least 21?
That's the exact same article copy/pasted on another website. So, it's still thirdhand information, and the exact same info from Breitbart. And my point remains, this woman isn't advocating our healthcare system pay for anything; only that these shadow hundreds of people regret transitioning. It sounds like most of you are not aware of the thorough physical and psychological screening that is involved with gender reassignment. I personally know several TG individuals and they have explained it to me. It is intense and involved. Changing their mind is exceedingly rare, although it does happen. As for insurance coverage and supposed "universal healthcare budgets," we don't have universal healthcare, so that's irrelevant anyway.
It exists. According to this 2015 study 11% in females to male and 4% in males to female. Most of the respondents had surgery when it was more difficult to get and when it was less likely to be covered by insurance. The expectations are that future surveys will show a higher percentage of regretters.

The lgbtq mob (a militant liberal organization) is actively using its powerful influence to recruit impressionable people. They have an unrelenting thirst for power and need to continue growing the size of their mob. Convincing people to become trans is their current strategy.
I feel sorry for those who went to practitioners who allowed/prescribed drugs and procedures for people without giving them adequate time, vetting, and counseling. The more permanent the treatment, the more stringent should be the criteria. Doctors should be liable if they don't follow accepted protocols.
However, once those protocols are met, adults are responsible for the treatment they seek and accept. Most hormonal treatment is reversible...surgery less so, but far fewer get to the surgical part without really considering the consequences.

Sex, not gender. And that's not just me being linguistically pedantic. That's also the leftist narrative.
Sex and gender aren't the same thing, according to the left, so your gender is independent of your sex. These are people who believe they were born the wrong sex.
