The sanctuary chief of Fairfax County, VA, where illegal aliens have overrun the school system (in the working class neighborhoods), has suspended a police officer for turning an illegal alien into ICE.
IN a nutshell, the cop pulled over a driver dor a traffic stop, and when running a check, he discovered that not only was the guy driving without a license but that he was an illegal alien who had failed to appear for a deportation hearing. The cop reported him to ICE, and the leftist police chief SUSPENDED THE COP (!!) for - and I quote - "depriving the [illegal alien] of his freedom" by detaining him while awaiting ICE.
Has this country gone entirely crazy? The cop is relieved of his duties for reporting an alien who ignored a deportation hearing?

In a nutshell, the police officer violated company policy. But you conveniently skipped over that part in your immigrant hating zeal. Let me refresh your memory or read it for you since you didn't.
"The Fairfax County Police Department enacted a 2007 policy that prohibits officers from confirming a person's immigration status and detaining them solely based on civil violations of immigration law."
This could be a foundation to challenge sanctuary cities in court. This firing is based on an illegal policy. One of the constitutional duties of the federal government is to protect the nation and its borders. While it is rare for me to be on the side of the feds in conflicts between the federal government and states or cities this is a case where a core federal duty is being interferes with illegally by leftists who control some cities. We expect the federal government to respect the 10th amendment but in an area where the constitution clearly gives them the responsibility and power we cannot allow their efforts to be illegally undermined. The federal government must enforce immigration law, they are obligated to do so.
And democrat posters here keep saying, “Democrats don’t want open borders. Democrats are against illegal immigration.”
One doesn't equal the other. Are you saying it's OK for a police officer to violate company policy without consequence? What about if the cop decided to beat a unresistant drug dealer he had arrested to a bloody pulp because they looked at him wrong? Would that mean we were pro drug dealers and criminal activity?
