Extrapolation from various different statistics.
  • Number of voters who vote for the non-authoritarian candidate in a given election: <1%
  • Number of non-authoritarians who have ever held office: <0.0001%
  • Number of elected officials who have actually reduced the size, scope, cost and meddling of their level of government, anywhere, ever: <0.0001%
  • Number of laws totally repealed, NOT REPLACED, divided by the number of existing laws that should be repealed and NOT REPLACED: <0.0001%
I could keep going, but you should already get the point. Government does nothing but grow, consume, destroy, etc. And every time voters have a chance...they agree to make it bigger, have it consume more and have it destroy more. Want to see Republicans and Democrats lock arms like a brotherly phalanx, then simply suggest cutting Mediwelfare, Socialist Security or Department of Corporate Welfare...err...Defense by 10% from last year. You'll find out quickly that 99% is the rounded, generous number. It's more like 99.99...%, but No_Recess was being polite.

HAHA. Imagine how beautiful the world will look to you when you can see more than Red and Blue.

You might be able to see the Green that has left he middle class and gone to a select few. And perhaps you will see that those select few could care less about your GANG WAR of Red vs Blue. Because if you hold the Green you control both Red and Blue.

That’s true, which is why it’s important to reduce or eliminate the power of Red and Blue.

The real war is top/bottom, but I think the politicians and their camps get a kick out of watching the ordinary people scratch each other's eyes out.

It isn't what people know, or don't know, that matters most in politics, it's what they care about. And the latter is only tangentially related to the former.

Yes! Glad a few of you are discovering the truth. There is an old saying that goes "Democrats and Republicans are two wings of the same dirty bird."

Koch are convenient lightning rods. Most of the names are unknown outside of Wall Street.
