The extreme right and the extreme left do the exact same thing.

I like talking to the other side as long as it is rational and not full of venom and frothing at the mouth. Sometimes my opinion is changed by someone with an opposing viewpoint, but never by somebody going off the rails. It would be nice if we just had a civil version of POC.
You came to the wrong place, lol. It's mostly about cheer-leading for "Team Red" and "Team Blue" here. If you are looking for high quality posters and objective, rational discussion, CD POC is not the place to be. I come here mostly for amusement.
While I'm not a fan of echo chambers, I wouldn't mind seeing more closely aligned thinkers seek to work out differences in a civil manner within their own sub-forums. That being said, I have little to no confidence that such sub-forums would be sufficiently troll-free for the experiment to work.
Ivanka Trump just spoke at CES in favor of more H1B visas, I personally despise most of the people President Trump has surrounded himself with, I would love to see this conversation in a Republican subforum.
Overall, I think conversations would be alot more interesting in partisan subforums
