I like the idea. Personally I despise Democrats, leftists, liberals and all of the their ilk. The idea of confining them to their own little silo of degeneracy has a very strong appeal.
Perhaps I am visualizing it wrong. The way I see it the temptation for non party members to troll would be huge, I think it would be an enormous amount of work to administer.
Under that scenario if I was a mod I wouldn't want to do it. Perhaps you are thinking of a sign in set-up I am not familiar with.
It would be a tempting challenge to go on such a forum and pretend you were one of the faithful to the stated agenda. You could describe things that at first might seem to support the views of the others, but that were cleverly worded to actually disparage them. You could say supporting things, but sound like an idiot, for example. Or say things that were so far over the edge in extremism, that they were really just a parody of the partisan cause.

Then you'd have to be that persona ALL the time. You're dreaming if you think other posters wouldn't notice and call you on it.
And if you got too trollish or Poe-ish, you'd get yourself banned. It's happened.
I'm thinking about adding these subforums. They would still be public but only party's supporters would be allowed to comment. Any comments or suggestions?
Personally I think separate D and R forums would be a great way to illustrate how both teams are similiar, yet evil in their own special way
