Did you know when Obama was elected 67% of Americans thought race relations in the US were good?

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-38536668

Less than 10 years and 2 terms later, about the same amount thought it was terrible (69%). Obama walked into an atmosphere that was fantastic to continue to build on reducing the race divide even further. Yet he walked out with all that good will destroyed.

Ask yourself why...

This is going to be very hard to defend, if the article truly reflects what happened. How awful.
Bad cops, get good cops killed.
The disconnect widens.
Cops have an us v. them attitude with the blue line gang.
Domestic terrorist. The most sovereign people in America.

Watch how this cop escalates things instead of just doing his job.

We’re not getting the entire story. I doubt she was sitting there playing a video game while a cop shot her. There has to be more to it we’re not hearing about.

They are reporting that there was a handgun on the floor, and the cop yelled "show me your hands." Clearly he thought he saw a weapon and felt his life in danger. These split-second decisions sometimes go the wrong way, and as tragic as it is (and I feel sorry for the neighbor, too, who must feel awful for setting this in motion with the 911 call), these instances are exceedingly rare given the number of police encounters.

At the same time, I see it from the victim's perspective. If she did have a gun in her hand, it was because she thought someone was prowling around the outside if her house, and she wanted to protect herself and her nephew. May she RIP.

I don't think it's a black/white issue, although the liberals will try to paint it that way to drum up more fear and GTVO.

I love to watch righties dance on the head of a pin. She had a gun in her home, so it’s ok the cop shot her?

They were checking on her welfare after a non-emergency call and shot her dead.

Atatiana Jefferson, 28, had been living at the residence in Fort Worth, Texas with her eight-year-old nephew.

A neighbour had called a non-emergency police number after growing concerned that her front door was open at night.

Police have released body cam footage of the incident, which shows an officer shooting within seconds of seeing her.

The clip shows police searching the perimeter of the residential property, before noticing a figure at the window. After demanding the person put their hands up, an officer then fired a shot through the glass.

The Fort Worth Police Department said in a statement that the officer, who is a white man, had "perceived a threat" when he drew his weapon.

He has been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation, officials added.

The shooting happened at about 02:30 local time (07:30 GMT) on Saturday morning.
