I'm not suggesting Trump have a say, I'm suggesting they conduct a legitimate inquiry, authorized by the House and conducted in an open, honest, and fair manner which is always how it has been done in the past.

It's really not though. The House legitimizes actions and makes them official with authorization votes, they opted to break with precedent and skip authorization and carry out what amounts to nothing more than a secretive dirt digging operation in lieu of a serious inquiry. It's their right to do so, but you can't call it something it's not.
