It was the "Decider's" decision to invade Iraq. Hilary, many other Democrats, and just about all of the Republicans signed on to the Authorization Act but it was Bush's call.

Let me see, so I get the democrats position on this. The democrats are holding an inquiry deep in the bowels of Congress to find a crime (s) (high crimes and misdemeanors) that the President may have done. Hmmm. So unless the democrats are successful in finding a crime (s) there can't be an impeachment. So it appears that the Democrats are treating the matter as if they have the jurisdiction to convene a grand jury and also become an ad hoc District Attorney. I don't understand.

Steps of the impeachment process:

Step 1: The House learns that an impeachable offense may have been committed.
Step 2: The House opens a formal inquiry by committee with participation by both sides to investigate/explore evidence in closed sessions per the rules passed by Republicans in 2015.
<--- We are here --->
Step 3: Enough evidence of an impeachable offense is uncovered such that a House vote formalizing the process is taken.
Step 4: The committees continue with an open a formal inquiry by committee with participation by both sides applying the rules set by the House vote in Step 3.
Step 5: The committees conclude their inquiry and recommend articles of impeachment.
Step 6: Evidence supporting impeachment recommendation is presented to the House
Step 7: House votes on Articles of Impeachment.

Yes, the House has every constitutional right to impeach. Every single day somebody else comes out with damning information about this Ukrainian phone call. There is already a crime, and it's even been admitted by Trump himself. Now do you understand? Do you remember when Lindsey Graham said back in 1999 that there didn't need to be a crime to impeach? Well, that's not this, because this time there actually is a crime.

Didn't I see the GOP House members crowding against the House inquiry door, shut out of a democratic only hearing and then Schiff not allowing the GOP members of the committee to question the witnesses.

So according to you, Schiff is not following proper procedure?

Let's say Trump is impeached in the house. He'll never be impeached by the Senate and removed from office--20 some Republican senators would never vote him out.

Anyway, flash forward to November 2020 and this impeachment happened let's say, and Trump was pitted against a somewhat weak Democrat candidate (they all mostly are ... ) during election season, and Trump wins and is re-elected.

What are the Democrats going to do--continue to impeach LOL? Talk about a lost, weakened, absolutely angry bunch of folks.
