Isn’t this the 3rd time Nancy has done this? Each time right after she pulled some stunt like a House Vote on “condemning” the President. Of course it was pre-planned.
That Pelosi preplanned a response is not a surprise. I did that back in the day in case my then 2-yo had a tantrum.
Trump supposedly lost it when she 'formally' informed him of the House vote. That, too, may well have been subtle needling for no doubt he knew.
No one here (or in the media) appears to deny that Trump called her a third-rate politician or a supporter of communism or whatever it was in a less than moderate tone. That is acceptable in a formal meeting why?
Of course, this is all a chess match of sorts. Nancy had 'won' one (not only the Congressional vote but the Republican support). Trump's ineffectual response was to denigrate and bully.
Is that newsworthy? Frankly, yes. This a POTUS who deals not only with errant subordinates but with - here - Congressional leaders and then - elsewhere - world leaders.
As for Nancy's response, 2020 is coming. Voters can pull whatever level they choose at the election booth. Many eat up Trump's bombastic aggressiveness at rallies. Others may not so much - particularly if he has reduced ability under pressure to turn it off in other settings.

Agreed. Easy to say when it isn't you, your son or daughter, brother or sister or father. Yeah the same people who supposedly are anti-war suddenly become war hawks. It kind of reminds of cop haters. They all hate the cops until they need one.
This isn't our fight and it never was. Yes elected reps from both sides are opposing it. There is a lot of money in play. Not one of them gives a damned about our troops, or the Kurds. This about satisfying the war machine.
And we all hate to have one of our sons or daughters overseas - until we need them. Whether we like it or not, we have to maintain a presence in the Middle East, it is a cornerstone of our national security in the 21st century. The days of isolating in North America and imagining that war will never reach our shores are long gone. It is just a matter of time before a 9/11 or far worse is repeated. When it does we need to be ready. DOD isn't stupid, there is a reason why they are so opposed to Trump's goofy shoot from the hip decisions.
