I think in burning her books the students were rightly protesting her and her racism and not so much the book itself as in typical book burning of historical books maybe even out of print. That makes it understandable and different.
This country has been tribal and divided from day one. Nothing to do the just the left or the right. It's just the way America has always been.
White people have been quite tribal as well, not just among other races, but with other people who would be considered "White". Remember "Irish no need apply"? The Civil War?
A simple U.S. history lesson will show how divided and tribalistic the USA has ALWAYS been. Racial violence and bigotry have been the norm in America from day one.
Interestingly, those things have been a part of humanity throughout it's history.
Arabs are technically under the Caucasian umbrella. Some are more European than others. For example, Syrians, Lebanese.... vs. Yemenis. Since when were Armenians considered anything BUT white, btw?Is Kim Kardashian a woman of color?
The problem is that the term Caucasian is completely useless and false from a genetic, cultural and historical standpoint. Armenians are from the Near East. There genetics, heritage, history, language and culture are all Near Eastern. What are earth do they have in common with Finnish people? To a point where they can both be considered "White"?
All the women seen in the photos below belong to the same ethnic group. Coptic Christians from Egypt. They have a unified language, culture, religion and history and would self identify with each other. What are these women? White, People of Color, what?

The younger generation of whites are just fatigued at the constant racial condemnation they receive via school and media. It's like the "woke" version of original sin.

I don't know her genetic makeup but all I am saying is that most Latinos are Mestizos. They are usually half white and half Amerindian or black. Looks/skin color can be deceiving as within any race there are light to darker skin tones. Is there a link we can see as to what here genetic makeup is?
