Since he says all donations will be double matched, Im guessing he has some idea it will cost around $6M to stop the process, (thru payoffs Im assuming), but Im not sure where he got this dollar amount from?

He must know the amount it will take to bribe those managing the process...thats the only explanation I can think of.
Sad thing is, 40% of Americans are just a-ok with that since Trump hates the same people they do. Truly despicable, hellish times we are living through in this country right now.

I dont think people are OK with this kind of thing, but they probably just realize this is how it is, and its unlikely to change anytime soon. American politics is just as corrupt as other countries (more well known for corruption), the only difference was, in the US, its not as direct or out in the open.

Pretty much. Most likely, it's a way to get a new mailing/email list. Surely a multi-billionaire doesn't need a lousy $3 million.
