My coworkers want Reaganism to officially end in 2021.

Reaganism never died in 1993.
The elder Bush continued it, essentially, Bush was Reagan's third term in 1988!
Then Democrats triangulated with neoliberal centrist policy with Bill Clinton in 1992 and 1996! Clinton coopted Reaganism!
Then came baby Bush. A Reagan redux, but a slow cowboy who led America to two wars and a economic disaster like never before!
Then came Obama. The first black president could have shaped America into a new progressive direction forever, but he didn't prosecute the banks and the Tea Party racists.
Hence the terror of Trump, a ****** who blights the white middle class. Trump is Reagan personified.
Government is the answer to our problems.
Gov't healthcare, access to food, water.

Oh, please. Government doesn't "run" anyone's life. It doesn't tell you when to get up or when to go to bed. It doesn't tell you where to go to school or where to work. It doesn't tell you who to marry or where to live. It doesn't even forbid you to smoke or eat unhealthily, if you really want to.
What government does, ideally, is provide infrastructure, try to keep you safe from bad corporations, occasionally help you if you need it, make your life better than if you were living in some failed state in Africa. It often goes astray but, hey, there are those failed states, if you'd prefer to live there.
