Considering how high the suicide rate is among transgender people, our society and legal system should not be helping these people "change". Rather, we should help them with their mental illness, and help them live according to the sex God gave them.
I am a huge ally for trans people.
I hate being the "I have friends who..." but one of my friends has recently transitioned to a man, and he is one of the guttsiest, most honorable, kind people I know.
He's also an adult.
A 7 year old should not be able to decide to change genders. It is a very serious decision that should 100% be left up to the person themself and they should not be permitted to make that decision until they are an adult.
I don't care if both parents are on board with this, it should not be allowed.
The Party of Science (tm), where a 15 year old who murders someone isn't mature enough to face the consequences as an adult, but a 7 year old can make permanent life altering/mutilating decisions.

The word "wondered" means the person was questioning.
As for the mom, in that Heavy article it states that she claimed James wanted to be a girl because he was imitating some female character on Frozen.
She has the job she has and doesn't understand that children imitate everything?! That is not grounds to claim that the boy "wants to be a girl". I can't believe that people can't see just how unhinged this lady is - I can't believe she has the position that she has and yet knows NOTHING about children.
