Are you talking about Mueller's investigation into Russian collusion?

See post #68 directly above yours.

Dem supporter, calling for a thorough investigation.

Furthermore, you conveniently omit the well known fact that most national security and law enforcement personnel have tended to be or lean Republican, and if there was malfeasance it would more likely to have been Republicans behind it!

In other words your allegation is based upon nothing but wishful thinking. You WANT to spread a narrative in which you could claim Democrats feel they are above the law for your own reasons.

Dream fail. Post fail.

It was just a matter of time before Trump tried something like this. He is pushing hard at all the weaknesses in our system. Setting the stage for future abuses of power, and weakening our Constitutional republic in every way that he can. He is using Barr as if he was his own personal attorney, an outcome which was assured when the founders decided that the Department of Justice should be under the command of the President.

America will never be the same after Trump. We are already greatly weakened, and Trump has at least a year, maybe 5 to do more damage.

That's hilarious. Trump thinks so far ahead of you guys that when he pulls the string you have completely forgotten when it was attached. Trump has been planning this counter-investigation since the day Mueller was appointed, perfectly timed so that the election season of 2020 will be filled with regular reports of another Democrat going to jail. Did you really not see this coming years ago? Surely you learned a long time ago that Trump does not play defense and fight on his heels. He has always practiced offense as the best defense.

Dems love investigations so long as they are the ones doing the investigating and playing offense. Trump never had any intention of letting them get away with that.

So you're saying that Trump is abusing his public office to personally compel a criminal investigation of his opponents for political gain? Isn't more or less the reason he is facing impeachment? And you're celebrating this?

Trump claimed that 3-5 million illegal votes were cast in the 2016 election.

Barr claimed that there was more damning evidence regarding Uranium One than the Russian interference in the 2016 election.

And?

I'm saying what I actually said not some bastardized interpretation you have of it. There is nothing abusive or unethical about investigating those that have done wrong. I'm saying he knew many of those were doing wrong back then and planned to investigate them at some point. And Hillary may not be home free yet either. He called for her to be prosecuted, and when she wasn't in the next year, libs declared it a Trump campaign lie. But that's only because libs can't think past lunch time.

Leftists are relentless, unconscionable, completely unprincipled liars, as demonstrated by their unwillingness to even consider crimes committed by people who are associated with their political tribe or to apply the same standards that they apply to their political adversaries to themselves. As we have seen demonstrated here in this thread in highly aggressive fashion, yet again.
