Gas tanks don't need to be replaced. Rechargeable batteries, on the other hand,....
Oil, grease, you'll still need those.
Did the poets forget to take chemistry?
Those batteries last 300K+ miles. By that time that model of car is too old and might require updated safety features.
Oil, grease ... what are you talking. It does not need oiling. Just washer wiper fluid and tire rotations at 10K miles are routine maintenance. Brakes hardly wear out due to regen braking.

Rotating parts, and turning mechanisms, don't self lubricate.
"Unlike gasoline cars, Tesla cars require no traditional oil changes, fuel filters, spark plug replacements or emission checks. As electric cars, even brake pad replacements are rare because regenerative braking returns energy to the battery, significantly reducing wear on brakes."
I'm sure there is lubrication in there somewhere but it doesn't require traditional maintenance.
Thats haulin for sure, but for how long or how many holeshots/launches?
We can debate the merits or disadvantages of both, but thats all irrelevant; I'll not interfere with your desire to own an EV and you dont get to interfere with my choices in any way. And by interfere I mean legislate, tax, subsidize the choices of either.
Agree?

In addition to this, regen braking also helps capture the released heat from braking to help power the battery. It is very cool technology. Companies are also starting battery recycling processes that repurpose the batteries down the road. We are very fortunate to live in a time with such innovation.

Do Teslas have axles and bearings and steering?
Where are you going to put your scary drilling rig and refinery? Think you'll need more than one?

Right? As long as your choices are subsidized. There is no societal good after all? How do you feel about the gap in funding with regards to the gas tax?

You wanna take a breath and read the last sentence of that post? You know, the only sentence I actually wrote as the rest was a quote directly from Tesla's maintenance website.
