The impeachment will end in failure, Trump's reelection, and probably some Republican gains in both houses. They can plan some big changes for 2021, but meanwhile many issues aren't waiting. States are being flooded and burned down. Water and air pollution affect everywhere. The McConnell strategy of blocking all Dem action is high risk that can affect his own state as much as anywhere else.

Was it that any different when Harry Reid was Senate leader. He even pigeonholed bills passed by House democrats? Harry Reid who used the nuclear option to get liberal judges on the courts....seems that came about and bit him and his fellow democrats on the arse.

According to the US Constitution every President has the right to a veto and every Senate has a right to overturn that veto.

Over 400 bills on all kinds of issues have been passed by the House, and are awaiting consideration by the Senate, which refuses to consider any bill. If you want to make a claim of do-nothing, it should be directed at the Senate, which is actively preventing all attempts to make life better for Americans.

Thanks for the information. I was wondering what on earth was happening with our government. Now I know. We're getting that wall Mexico is paying for, after all. I knew Trump would come through for us

We've been over and over this. The house needs to stop drafting and passing bills that they know are DOA in the Senate. Instead reach across the aisle and get some bills amenable to both sides. That's what Reagan and Tip O'Neil did. That's what even Obama and Boehner did to some extent.

That's how legislation works, always, but especially so when you have divided gov't. You don't just ram through a bill and then whine that it died in the other chamber. Time to don some big boy pants.

I voted 'other.' Based on what we now have on Trump, he should not be impeached. All Americans, not just Democrats, should maintain some form of loyalty towards the duly elected president. I made the same argument against Obama-haters.

We should wait for information to come out, and make our decisions accordingly. What a concept!

What bill have the Democrats in the House passed that would actually help anyone?

No vote.
What clause in the Constitution are you referring too?
And are you saying the:House cannot conduct an investigation to determine whether articles of impeachment should be passed?

That is what they are saying. The House is not allowed to conduct an investigation. Questioning Trump about anything is disloyal and the government is no longer a government. It has become a fraternity in which blind obedience to the leader is all that matters.

Lol.

Trump's misconduct is asking democrat corruption to be investigated.

And the DNC platform is open borders and more taxes on the middle class.
