Majority of people are independents. When Republicans are in power there are no fiscal conservatives spend worse than the Democrats. And at least the Democrats propose ways to pay for the spending.

I voted for Trump but hate that this is happening. Having over 50% of American workers paying no income tax is unsustainable. It made me furious when Republicans passed their tax plan and bragged that a record number of Americans will pay no income tax. My blood pressure soared through the roof. I vote Republican because I want those people to start paying tax.I knew our deficit would go up because of these non tax payers...sure enough it is.

I don't think the majority of people are Independents. But, I do agree the Republicans are just as bad as the Democrats with regard to spending. My problem is that the Left (Democrats) are HYPOCRITES and only pretend to be concerned when there is a Republican President.

So just to add a little more information to this topic that is not being discussed in the media. The Fed just increased its temporary overnight repo operations to $120 billion a day. In addition to the repo increase, term repo operations are increasing to $45 billion. Add to that the Fed just announced a permanent operation that will target $60 billion a month initially in bond purchases. This is fiscal insanity.

And add to all this another interest rate cut likely and the likely announcement of an "official" QE 4 (even though we already have stealth QE 4 going on this will be essentially double QE at one time). My prediction is the Fed's balance sheet will stand between $15-$20 trillion before all of these easing measures are over. Insane times for sure.

$23 trillion national debt

$1 trillion deficit

$75 trillion US total debt (household, business, all levels of government, and financial institutions)

$127 trillion in unfunded liabilities.

These numbers are clearly not sustainable longer-term. Tough times ahead.

Where did I say it was? However, LARGE DEFICITS like OBAMA had led to the highest Federal Debt of all time. Larger than any previous President COMBINED.
