The majority of people in that region are federal workers in some form or fashion.
It should be a slap in the face to how the DC establishment leans left, and can’t hide it. That should tell you some of the conspiracy theories aren’t that far fetched.

I doubt that every single person at Nationals Park booed President Trump, but you've also got to keep in mind that Northern Virginia's suburbs tend to be more liberal than suburbia in other areas. If he had made the appearance in Houston, I really believe that you will have heard more cheers. I also doubt that very many people from inside D.C.-proper (mostly black and much of it liberal) actually even attended that game.
