I thought I made it pretty clear?

You and yours have been trying to hold back popular policies - like, for instance, single-payer healthcare, social safety nets, environmental laws etc. - by calling said policies "Socialism". You thought that would make the policies look bad. Instead, you associated the term "socialism" with a lot of popular ideas and so made socialism - at least the term - look good.

You - kind of played yourself, actually.

All government policies are socialism. It's the literal definition. Unless there's such a thing as legitimate opting in, opting out, and competition.

Saying don't have kids is a personal solution, not a societal one.

Stockholm Syndrome.

Plain and simple.

Its how the majority of Americans live and it has nothing to do with 'choice'. Unless you want the majority of the population to remain childless and watch as our economy crashes you offer no solutions to the cause of extreme obesity that has become inevitable.
You keep using the "society" cop-out without explaining exactly how it prevents people from not living like absolute morons.

Is there pressure from society to spend unnecessarily or make unwise decisions? Of course. It's on the individuals to give all that the middle finger and think for themselves. Nobody NEEDS a house. Cars can be avoided with smart life planning, and children certainly can. And I did offer the solution to obesity: simply don't eat rubbish no matter how appealing marketers make it look.

It has everything to do with choice, unless you think of people as little more than the vegetables in Wall-E.

As for the market crashing if fewer people breed...the US is already the 3rd most populous country on the planet. India and sub-Saharan Africa have high birth rates, how is that working for their economy? Relying on more and more new people to prop up artificial welfare programs like social security has a name: pyramid scheme.

If I or Frank were arguing for another political policy in lieu of the ones presented you'd have a point. Simply stating the fact that they are socialist is just that...a fact.

This is an illustrative example alright. An example of how a statist/socialist has no moral or logical high ground when debating an anarchist/capitalist.

Stick to debating Team Red. They're more at your speed.

As long as you don’t put a gun on anybody’s head, I don’t really care.

Nah, it's nonsense. Words mean things. "Socialism", for instance, means something rather specific. It involves means of production, collective ownership, yadda yadda. And you can quite easily have government without having any of those things. In fact, most governments throughout history didn't.

13 years of government education...job well done.
