Then, the benefits cap would also have to be removed. You'd have wealthy people raking in huge SS benefits which would exacerbate the funding problems SS already has.

Most people already LOSE money on Social Security now, anyway. Only the low-income come out ahead.

Social Security is a LOSING deal for most workers - Associated Press

I'm not seeing that. National defense has a Constitutional mandate. Health care does not. If anything, government-provided health care would have to be cut/eliminated before national defense.

There is no Constitutional right to health care. Any such perceived "right" is a figment of the left's imagination.
There is no constitutional right for 1 trillion + military. Also the mandate is for defense. Let me know if you have any questions.

Make all members of Congress use the same system as the rest of us. Then they will produce amazing results.

Hopefully it dies a quick painful death.

Americans are desperate for affordable healthcare... the system you have now is just getting more and more expensive, tens of thousands Americans dies each year and is bankrupting hundreds of thousands each single year!!

It would fix 95% of all the problems you have today.
But some people are can't stop fixating on the 5%... and would not change a thing.
Because everything is sooooo perfect now.

But $200+ Billion dollars in profitt each year is at stake for the For profitt insurance companies and Big Pharma... and Hundreds of billions of dollars in overcharging, 3x larger bureaucracy then a comparable 1st world nation and making everything 3-4 x more expensive then they need to be!!!

The Right Wingers will NEVER agree to it.. its to much profitt at stake for private corporations, to consider healthcare to be a basic human right.
Like it is in all other 1st world nations...

None of the above. No federal government involvement in health care. Enough is enough, already.

Actual Fed Gov spending on defense is currently $686 billion. And national defense has a Constitutional mandate. Health care does not. There is no such "right" to health care.

The OP is obviously opposed to all sorts of universal healthcare and is trying to scare people away from it, with all those absurdly high cost choices.

"The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States"

99% of the world recognizes that welfare includes Healthcare.. even when they wrote the damn bill.

When 30-40.000 Americans dies each year because of Profit seeking corporations... the government has a moral and constitutional duty to do something about it.

Medicare for All would fix 95% of every healthcare problem the US has... and save $Trillions doing so!!
